A Modern Waterfront Home in Fort Lauderdale

Every project begins with a vision — an idea of how people will live, gather, and feel in a space.

We started this Fort Lauderdale project by getting to know our clients — an adorable couple who loves to entertain and wanted a home with an open feel and natural flow.

From the start, our goal was clear: to embrace the light, connect with the water, and balance strong architectural lines and bold design decisions with elegance and comfort. Every room was approached with intention, layering texture, contrast, and movement until everything felt just right.

Let’s take you behind the scenes of this beautiful waterfront home.

The Kitchen and Dining

We wanted to bring sleek sophistication to the heart of the home with this modern black kitchen. It was designed to feel both bold and timeless. The clean lines, the stone waterfall island and mix of materials make this space a true showstopper, while the stone waterfall island anchors the space. We wanted it to be striking but never cold — a kitchen that feels elegant and inviting.

In the dining area, the same balance continues. Clean lines, organic textures, and a connection to the outdoors make it a perfect setting for gatherings. Every finish was chosen to reflect a modern lifestyle — functional, elevated, and full of light.

The Living Room

The living room is where everything comes together. With expansive windows, curated furniture, and a stunning marble fireplace wall, this space celebrates scale and texture.

Our clients wanted a strong indoor-outdoor connection, so we designed a layout that opens seamlessly to the exterior. The gray stone, warm oak shelving, and subtle touches of color create a modern composition that still feels comfortable and lived-in.

Who said you can’t have a fireplace in Florida? We’ll never forget the day it was installed and the way its soft glow transformed the space instantly. It brought warmth, reflection, and that perfect balance between sophistication and comfort.

The Family Room

Upstairs, the family room takes a softer approach. Here, comfort leads the design — a large sectional, layered textiles, and a graphic wallcovering that adds movement without overpowering the space.

We wanted this room to feel relaxed, a spot to unwind and reconnect. The custom wood panel behind the TV and the art curation bring personality and warmth, turning this into one of those spaces that feels lived-in from day one.

The Primary Suite

In the primary suite, everything quiets down. The palette is calm — soft neutrals, clean lines, and just enough contrast to keep things interesting. The floor-to-ceiling windows open to the waterfront, letting natural light become part of the design.

Every element, from the custom headboard wall to the sculptural pendants, was chosen to create that sense of serenity that only a well-balanced space can bring. It’s effortless, yet elegant, and timeless.

The Primary Bathroom

The bathroom continues that same story of calm luxury. As busy working parents, our clients wanted their own spa-like retreat, a space that would bring tranquility and balance to their everyday routine.

The freestanding tub sits against a stunning green wall feature, a touch of nature that softens the marble surfaces. Every detail was carefully considered: the hammered wood texture of the vanities, the subtle pebble flooring, and the balance of light and shadow that makes the space feel serene.

The Daughter’s Bedroom

Playful yet refined, this bedroom was designed with personality in mind. The fluted wood wall paneling adds warmth, while the hanging chair and touches of green bring that sense of fun and individuality.

We wanted it to feel like a space that reflects her personality — cozy, functional, and full of life. The result is a room that feels fresh, balanced, and effortlessly stylish.

“Every project is a new chapter for us. This one reminded us that balance isn’t just about color or proportion — it’s about how a home makes you feel. When design, architecture, and personality come together, that’s when a house truly becomes a home. We completed this project just in time for the holidays, and seeing our clients’ reaction made every late night and last-minute decision worth it.”.
